The University of Malta is launching a new Masters program in Digital Games through it’s newly established Department of Digital Games. The program is open to applicants with an undergraduate degree from a variety of disciplines. The M.Sc. in Digital Games explores games as cutting-edge media and cultural objects from critical, design and technological perspectives. Students learn the art of game design and be offered courses in project management and commercialisation of their product. Students choose to combine the latter with either a critical analysis perspective (for students with an Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities Bachelor) or a technological development one (for students with a Computer Science Bachelor). The lecturers involved are leaders in their respective specializations and are all game-dedicated, international scholars.
