Born in Australia and emigrated to Malta in 1994.
He attended Maria Bambina Mellieha Primary school and Mikiel Anton Vassalli Boys' Junior Lyceum Tal-Handaq. He graduated from the University of Malta in 2008 with a B.A. in History of Art and Social Studies and again in 2010 with a PGCE in Social Studies.
Today Dean teaches Social Studies at St Margaret College Boys' Secondary school, Verdala. Dean also is a comic writer and artist.
In 2011 he published his first graphic novel called "Apocalypse Rocked - Part 1" ( fan page ) and is also a co-author of a Social studies text book used in Maltese secondary schools. ( fan page )
