Bluewater Productions announced plans to release a new comic book biography on the life of Bettie Page who will be part of the popular Tribute series.
Written by Michael L. Frizell with art by Ernesto Lovera Pascua and cover by famed artist Rob Aragon.
Bettie Page‘s influence is evident even today. From humble beginnings, her work exploded onto the pop culture scene, dominating magazine covers and the fetish scene until one day suddenly disappeared from public view, garnering her cult status. Read the compelling story of the Queen of the pin-up.
“Bluewater’s storytelling model is to tell a compelling story that can stand on its own while offering readers a glimpse into the subject’s personal life. Researching Bettie was a challenge as she was – and still is – larger than life, and the sheer volume of information about her tells the tale: Her image captures the imagination while her life story is as compelling as her looks.”, said writer Michael Frizell.
“Bettie Page…I mean, what can I say? She’s an icon whose appeal lasted well beyond her lifetime, like Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn. Her strength and beauty have made her the muse of many artists,” says Frizell.
“The Tribute line of comic books tells the stories of people that have made a significant difference in the world while they were with us that”, says Bluewater publisher, Darren G. Davis “It is a way for us to honor these people who have made a difference in the world.”
