Mr. Mash-Up is coming from the pages of the Geek-Girl!

The mysterious Mr. Mash-Up gets his own Zero issue, collecting all of his appearances outside of Geek-Girl #0, from Actuality Press!

The product of his father’s dalliance with a cold but beautiful alien goddess, Arin Zahne a.k.a. Mr. Mash-Up is the ‘black sheep’ of his demonic other-dimensional family; living on a ‘granite hell hole,’ eking out an existence – using the gift of his clone-creating powers for hired jobs…

But Arin’s salvation may be at hand in the shape of his would-be lover, the space-travelling Delfi Matrix…

“Mr. Mash-Up is a person who needs somebody to believe in him,” says creator/writer Sam Johnson; “He has the ability to tap into people’s minds and turn the ‘vessel’ he houses into a clone of anyone he finds there. His mind then transfers into the clone and it crawls out of his mouth, stretching and shedding his carcass; whereupon Mash-Up, having learned all kinds of stuff about who he’s created a clone of, can do whatever he wants with it.”

“He could use it for good. He could use it for evil,” says Sam. But repeatedly making different clones and transferring his consciousness into them hasn’t been without its price for Arin. Johnson continues, “As a result of these shenanigans, and people of varying morality hiring him to use his abilities for their own ends, Mr. Mash-Up has lost some of his sense of self. When we first meet him, contrary to appearances, he’s not a bad guy, per sé, but nor is he a good guy. He’s a mixed up fella who wants to be loved and appreciated – something his family has never done. And whether or not he gets that love will go a long way towards defining what type of person Mr. Mash-Up is; and whether that’s a hero or a villain…”

And while he’s at it, we’re going to see just what Mash-Up and his vessel are capable of, as he goes up against Cabra Cini: Voodoo Junkie Hitwoman, the Screemers, and Pete the Pimp!
